Command & Conquer

Command & Conquer is a highly loved and nostalgic series from Westwood in 1995. It was one of the main keys to the massive RTS wave that would dominate and propel the esports scene worldwide. In 1998, Electronic Arts (EA) acquired Westwood Studios and continued to develop the series in its entirety. The game series continued until 2020, where EA concluded with the final Command & Conquer Remastered Collection for PC.

Command & Conquer Is Still Going Strong

Even though the Command & Conquer series is ancient, there’s still some life left in the old dog. EA still spends time on C&C because it still has the potential to generate income. And although we believe the game series will never have a successor, it’s still great to experience the series in its entirety when the RTS mood strikes.

Now, EA and Steam have arranged just that for those interested. In a package they call Command & Conquer, The Ultimate Collection, you get all the games, and if you act fast, you’ll get everything at half price.

In Command & Conquer, you’re drawn into a world that resembles our own, but with a twist. It’s like being thrown into an alternate future where global superpowers, unscrupulous organizations, and rebel factions are locked in a bloody battle for control over a world marked by military warfare and political intrigue.

On one side, you have the Global Defense Initiative (GDI), representing the allied and most technologically advanced nations. They fight for order and stability, but their methods can be as brutal as their opponents. And on the other side, you have the Brotherhood of Nod, led by the charismatic and mysterious Kane. They are a militant and ideological separatist group fighting to dismantle established structures and seize power for the people.

In these games, it’s about more than just building bases and gathering resources. It’s about balancing between developing technologies, reinforcing defenses, and planning smart attacks. You must collect Tiberium, a mysterious substance with economic and strategic value, to build up your forces and prepare for the impending battle.

And when the battle finally begins, you must be ready to make quick and smart decisions. There’s no time to hesitate when the enemy is at the edge of the fog of war. You must leverage the terrain to your advantage, employ tactical maneuvers, and coordinate your forces to ensure your victory.
